Equestrian Center
The Escambia County Equestrian Center is a 151-acre multi-use event venue and park, hosting english and western discipline events, rodeos, jaripeos, dog trials, 5K and other runs, music festivals, monster truck shows, and a wide variety of community events. These events draw participants and enthusiasts from around the country to the greater Pensacola area, creating a significant economic impact for our community.
In addition to our events schedule, the Equestrian Center is open to the public for general use. We have walkers, joggers, and dog enthusiasts who visit the facility on a daily basis. Trail, ponds, and open areas provide recreational opportunities. RV sites, including some with full hook up, are available. We also allow local horse owners to ride our trails and practice in some of our arenas, during times that we are not prepping for or hosting events. It is always best to call our office to make sure arenas are available. RV sites and stalls must be reserved.
While the Equestrian Center is not a boarding stable and maintains no horses or livestock on site, we do accept layover reservations. Additionally, in times of severe weather in other parts of the state and along the coast, the Equestrian Center, under the jurisdiction of the Emergency Operations Center, can be opened to serve as a host shelter for horses evacuating from those areas.
