Information Technology

The mission of Information Technology is to develop and maintain an information technology strategy based on the goals and operating strategy of Escambia County to improve the operational effectiveness and efficiency of County bureaus, divisions, sections and employees.

On Sept. 16th, the IT groups of the Board of County Commissioners and the City of Pensacola were asked to brief the Administrative Services Sub-Committee of the Consolidation Commission on our respective operations. This link will open the briefing provided by the BCC/IT division.

About the Division
Information Technology services include system, network, database and application management as well as program development and enhancement, training and providing the necessary computer hardware and software.

Information Technology supports the land records management, asset management, electronic document management, geographic information and many other business systems, the Escambia County web server, departmental file servers, the email system, the calendaring system and acts as the internet service provider for all the BCC bureaus and offices and several Constitutional and Judicial offices.

In addition, Information Technology provides and supports the Escambia County network that connects all county bureaus, constitutional officers and agencies together for application sharing, the exchange of information and coordination.

The Information Technology Division is tightly aligned with the bureaus of the Board of County Commissioners through a strong IT Governance Council and organizational structure.
